Serve as a member in a Community District Committee, which organizes Democrats at the Community District and precinct level in DeKalb County.

1.
First, you must be registered to vote in and a resident of DeKalb County, Georgia.

2.
Next, make sure you know which Community District you live in. Go to My Voter Page on the Georgia Secretary of State’s website to find your Community District. There are 6 post-seats for each Community District.

3.
If there is a vacant seat in your district, you may apply to fill it by contacting your Community District Chair, who will then submit this form on your behalf. Your Community District Chair can then nominate you during any monthly business meeting, and the committee would then vote on it.

4.
If there isn’t a vacant seat, post-seat holder elections are held for all Community Districts every two years usually during a regular monthly business meeting, so you can run for a post-seat during those elections, which will be announced ahead of time in the monthly newsletter or on our social media.
